This is the second video of possibly three I will create, to showcase the new ESS Heil Air-motion Transformer Tweeter together with my 25+ year old Magnepan SMG that I modified. I wonder if there is anyone ELSE out there who thought of using the bi-directional ESS Heil tweeter with the bi-directional Magnepan. BELIEVE me folks! THIS idea of mines DO work, and the sound is just so true to being in the actual performance! Sound is so crisp. You will hear musical detail that you haven't heard before! Cleaner cymbal crash, vocals, violins, even the reeds of the low-wind instruments, coming out at you with with such exactness. I was in elementary-intermediate (middle)-high school band, so I KNOW how EACH and every instrument sound. Even being to several live performance of orchestra and band concerts, I would close my eyes, and in my mind, compare the sound of my stereo and the live performance. And tweek my stereo equipment each time I go to a live concert. I do NOT have top-end amp or my speaker cables are not elevated and such. I compensate that with other tweeks of mines....... ;]

Sub-woofer Bass Reflex System with 2 x 15'' woofers for each box All you need for the construction of the box is vinylic glue, recycled hard cardboard, tape, silicone and paint. ....... Very very cheap!!!!!! The box was built with 4 layers of thick cardboard glued together. As the glue dries it hardens and the layers become hard as wood. In this way the box is capable of resonance and can reproduce extra low frequencies. This system can reproduce very powerful basses. Music is played with a high efficiency almost as if the sub-woofer was built with wood. In this prototype we used black tape to cover the surface of the box but it is possible also to paint it once the glue has dried The woofers where fixed in place with silicone in order to seal and not permit any air to pass When we finished the box we carried out many acustic tests using for example rock (hardrock and heavymetal), classical music and nature sound effects such as waterfalls and others...... We also tested the sound of the tibetan horn which reproduces very very low frequencies. The vibrations can be percieved strongly on your stomach and the rest of your body as it happens when you physically stand next to a tibetan horn. Towards the end of the video you will find specific tests which prove that this Sub-Woofer System can reproduce extra low frequencies (also subsonic frequencies)

Berlin's Michael Niedzwetzki demos a maple cap neck 1967 Telecaster loaded w. Dahlem custom Telecaster style pick ups. This particular bridge pick up is my own take on a pick up that combines a number of aspects usually not found in one single pick up. It is voiced to combine the nasal and powerful output of an early Broadcaster with the snappiness of a mid 50ies pick up jet to deliver smooth high end. No ice pick here. Instead nice warm mids and rounded off high notes. The high notes still have enough body. It's a staggered design w. white rope but can be done just you the way you prefer. Due to the nature of the true non edited signal and the small 10" speaker of the Princeton the sound in this demo might come out a little too mid and high frequency scooped. So don't get fooled here. Michael is known for his passionate love for old vintage guitars, especially for early Broad- No- and Telecaster guitars. He has been using a variety of Telecaster guitars since many years. This man knows his stuff. I'm proud having made him happy w. one of my telecaster PU creations. As he said,.. Compressor shoot-out notes The talking ends and playing begins at 1:20 for those of you who want to hear the compressors right away. All of the units are connected with George Ls cables. The output of the Loop-Master is routed through the Rat (which is switched off some of the time) and then to the THD BiValve. Ive tried to make the audio quality of this video good enough so that you can hear the noisiness and frequency response of these these compressors. To that end, the audio was recorded with an Olympus LS-10 recorder, and then synced with the video in iMovie. Sorry about the airplane noise at the end, but I didnt have time to re-shoot as the supercomp was on loan and had to be returned. There are no loud sounds after 3:40 in the video so that you can turn up your monitor speakers and really hear the audio without getting blasted. The narration being mixed very low is done intentionally so that you can hear the different noise levels of the compressors. Compressor shoot-out notes The talking ends and playing begins at 1:20 for those of you who want to hear the compressors right away. All of the units are connected with George Ls cables. The output of the Loop-Master is routed through the Rat (which is switched off some of the time) and then to the THD BiValve. Ive tried to make the audio quality of this video good enough so that you can hear the noisiness and frequency response of these these compressors. To that end, the audio was recorded with an Olympus LS-10 recorder, and then synced with the video in iMovie. Sorry about the airplane noise at the end, but I didnt have time to re-shoot as the supercomp was on loan and had to be returned. There are no loud sounds after 3:40 in the video so that you can turn up your monitor speakers and really hear the audio without getting blasted. The narration being mixed very low is done intentionally so that you can hear the different noise levels of the compressors. This particular bridge pick up is my own take on a pick up that combines a number of aspects usually not found in one single pick up. It is voiced to combine the nasal and powerful output of an early Broadcaster with the snappiness of a mid 50ies pick up jet to deliver smooth high end. No ice pick here. Instead nice warm mids and rounded off high notes. The high notes still have enough body. It's a staggered design w. white rope but can be done just you the way you prefer. The Kinivo ZX 220 is perfect for people who want to listen to music on the go, but don't necessarily need bluetooth capability. In fact, there are times when bluetooth is less convenient than a standard auxiliary input (like on a computer). The lack of bluetooth capability also helps to lower the price point and increase a speaker's battery life.- Notes on the Kinivo ZX 220- Sound Performance: Very good. These speakers are clean and crisp throughout the listening range. Low end bass performance is missing, but that is what you would expect from speakers in this size range. As a whole they sound very nice. Sound Volume: Significantly louder than the native speaker on the iPad. Make sure to take note of the inline volume control (it is easy to miss at first). Stereo Capability: One of the few speakers in this class that are in stereo Battery Life: 4 to 5 hours although playing the speakers at full volume may cause that to go down. Cord Length: About 30" - ideally the cord would be a little longer. Carrying Case: Does come with a small cloth carrying case. Misc: I am not a big fan of the blue lights that can not be disabled. I often use my speakers at night, so a blue light can be distracting. Final Verdict - I am a fan of the Kinivo ZX 220 - they have a nice sound, are portable, and are very easy to use. Testing done with the NOS cassette TDK SA-X from 1988. Dolby C switched on. As music source used Marantz SA-11 S1 playing Red Book CD format. Sound system consists of preamplifier Accuphase, power monoblock Plinius, speakers Infinity and cables Chord. Our ears need to be used for final tape-source sound quality comparison and conclusion :)

The TEAC 4010SL was introduced in the early 1970's. This video shows the external functions of this high end consumer audio electronics tape deck. I bought the machine brand new in 1972 and it has been working perfectly, except for a belt replacement, ever since. This is episode 1 of 2 and is a special anniversary video celebrating ClydeSight Channel's one year anniversary on YouTube. We started on December 30, 2007 with a video about the Wollensak 5750 stereo tape recorder, and now, one year later, December 30, 2008, we have over 40 machines documented in video, which has been inspiring and helping others who have a similar interest in vintage audio electronics. Therefore I considered it very necessary to post a video of a HD launch event. You need a sound system with a lot of power and a great sub (turned up to house shaking level) to get the right effect of this video. This is for all the people who dreamed of seeing a launch in person but were never able to make the trip themselves (myself included). Using dozens of different video sources and countless audio versions of Shuttle launches, 'indiegun' mixed this awesome clip together to mimic as close an experience to the real thing as he could. Known is that the exact sequence of countdown events is somewhat compressed and not time-accurate but he was going more for the 'real feel' of a high energy launch experience rather than a technical documentary. Throttle Up and SRB Separation are sounds as might be heard from onboard acoustic transducers picking up resonant vibration in the vehicle's structure. Please take care not to damage your sound equipment during playback. Nothing was done to boost the low frequency roar of the Shuttle during liftoff but the SRB and SSME thrust noise may be taxing to even high quality sub-woofers and speaker cones if played too loud. This is bulshit ! s90 sounds a lot better : deeper bass , much better quality and it requires less power . S30 B is twice better than s90 A . Also I tried lot of amps . Comparing Kenwood kr 6200 ; Harman / Kardon pm 650 ; Technics Sa. 313 , Sanyo sa 366, russian : bark 50y-068 C ; Amfiton a1 01 02 and I think kenwood kr 6200 is the best ( sound quality , build quality and power ) . I would give harman / kardon second place .
