A report of a visit I paid to Audio T in Brighton in order to listen to their top end Isis CD player and Osiris Amplifier. Rega is not known for its hi end stuff - normally they concentrate on producing budget to midrange hifi separates that sound better than many other products in their respective price categories. For instance the RB251 tonearm is only about £100, yet it is used on many non-Rega decks far more expensive than the humble P2 it was designed for. So for them to launch an amp and CD player that together cost £12000, they must have thought that they could produce something quite remarkable... That's not to say I would ever justify spending that sort of money on hi fi, but it does give the wannabe audiophile a sound to aspire to, when tweaking the system. I would have loved to have heard the Osiris with vinyl, but that wasn't possible today. But it did give me faith that CD's - even LOUDNESS war ones - can sound great and I bought some speaker cable that I hope will tweak out a few minor niggles in my CD replay. In addition to providing out-of-the-box accessibility on Chrome OS, Chrome Vox is being used by engineering teams across Google to test accessibility. This summer, Serge, Cagriy and Adu have worked on significantly enhancing the ChromeVox developer experience as outlined below. Serge: Refactor Code For Better Health Serge has extensively refactored the ChromeVox codebase --- this has set us up to evolve ChromeVox rapidly this coming year. In the process, he has also eliminated many performance issues in ChromeVox. Adu: Better Focus Management A commonly occuring accessibility problem within complex Google Web Apps is the failure to consistently set focus --- especially when switching among tasks in a complex workflow. Thus, when a Web application presents a confirmation dialog in response to a user action, exiting that dialog often fails to restore focus; this type of failure can leave a blind user "lost in space". While we continue to educate engineers across Google to manage focus consistently, Adu devised a solution within ChromeVox to restore focus when possible --- this has a significant impact on the overall usability of complex Web Apps when using ChromeVox. Tried to give a vairied amount of genres. sorry for poor video quality. obviously a Samson C01 studio condenser can never do these speakers justice. This video is just to give an idea of size, general sound quality and a feel for those interested in these speakers. When recording i had the speakers volume controls about halfway, and my Focusrite Saffire pro 24 DSP sound card was almost full. 8" Speakers cones throw out 280 watts of power.... verry niice. Would recommend to anyone looking for a mid range set of studio monitors.
