Run Halo: Combat Evolved on the Intel GMA 950

Run Halo: Combat Evolved on the Intel GMA 950 Video Clips. Duration : 2.05 Mins.

In-game settings: • Resolution: 1024x768 • Textures: High quality • Decals: On • Particles: High • Specular lighting: Off • Shadows: Off • Vsync: Off ======= ATTENTION ======= As I said in the video it is essential you install SwiftShader, download SwiftShader here: www.mediafire.com Then just follow these steps: • In the C:\WINDOWS\system32 back up d3d9.dll and d3d8.dll • Unzip SwiftShader_v201.zip • Now go in to the unzipped folder "SwiftShader\swiftshader_v201_demo\SwiftShader V2.01 Demo" directory and copy d3d9.dll and d3d8.dll in to C:\WINDOWS\system32, confirm overwrite. ========================= If you want to use my settings go ahead and download my config.txt file here: www.mediafire.com Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo directory (the default install directory) and replace the old config.txt with mine. If you want an explanation for the commands here it is. Go down to the Intel section, and look at the Unknown card, here are the commands I put in: • UMA=1024 - This first command sets the video memory to 256 megabytes, adjust accordingly, just keep in mind "UMA=256" = 64 megabytes • //UnsupportedCard - I put two slashes in front of this so the card is not recognized as unsupported. • DisableSpecular - This disables specular lighting, so that it is never used (sad). • ForceShader=11 - Makes the game use Shader 1.1 instead of the default 2.0, this is what I am currently using. You could experiment putting in ForceShader=14 to use 1.4, this will probably ...
