The Panasonic SC-MC07 if one of the sleekest most attractive bluetooth speaker on the market. It has the look of a space-age drink coaster. Unfortunately, its sound performance cannot match its uber-attractive looks. Notes- Sound Quality - The SC-MC07 has a nice overall sound. It has a relatively flat performance across the listening frequencies. As you would imagine from a speaker of this size it lacks bass response. Sound Volume - Easily the most disappointing aspect - the SC-MC07 offers less sound volume the Poid bluetooth speaker, and it offers much less sound volume than the Monster iClarity HD. This is unfortunate because the Panasonic SC-M07 is on the higher end on the price range. You can hear the differences on the video portion of this review. Rechargeable Batteries - The Panasonic SC-MC07 does not, inexplicably, offer rechargeable batteries. Again, both the Poid and Monster iClarity HD are fully rechargeable. The Panasonic SC-MC07 will accept 2 AA batteries, so it can be untethered from an USB power source. Auxiliary Input - Does not offer any sort of auxiliary inputs Speakerphone - Can not be used as a speakerphone Final Verdict - The Panasonic SC-MC07 is long on looks, but it falls far short in terms of sound volume and additional features. Ken Zelin, International Training Manager at McIntosh Labs introduces McIntosh's new patented quad balancing technology to achieve greater dynamic range in their high end amplifiers. The dynamic range is defined as the difference between how quietly and how loudly a system can play. Larger amplifiers tend to produce more signal ënoise due to the higher number of transistors. McIntosh have solved this problem by ëflipping the noise signal and combining it with the original, thereby eliminating it. The result is an astonishing signal to noise ratio of 129Db. Finally we get to see the technology inside a 2 channel controller with Ruthenium contacts similar to those used in nuclear reactors.
