The Panasonic SC-MC07 if one of the sleekest most attractive bluetooth speaker on the market. It has the look of a space-age drink coaster. Unfortunately, its sound performance cannot match its uber-attractive looks. Notes- Sound Quality - The SC-MC07 has a nice overall sound. It has a relatively flat performance across the listening frequencies. As you would imagine from a speaker of this size it lacks bass response. Sound Volume - Easily the most disappointing aspect - the SC-MC07 offers less sound volume the Poid bluetooth speaker, and it offers much less sound volume than the Monster iClarity HD. This is unfortunate because the Panasonic SC-M07 is on the higher end on the price range. You can hear the differences on the video portion of this review. Rechargeable Batteries - The Panasonic SC-MC07 does not, inexplicably, offer rechargeable batteries. Again, both the Poid and Monster iClarity HD are fully rechargeable. The Panasonic SC-MC07 will accept 2 AA batteries, so it can be untethered from an USB power source. Auxiliary Input - Does not offer any sort of auxiliary inputs Speakerphone - Can not be used as a speakerphone Final Verdict - The Panasonic SC-MC07 is long on looks, but it falls far short in terms of sound volume and additional features. With an upgraded stylus from www.turntableneedles.com installed, this late '80s / early '90s Panasonic turntable stereo (a .99 thrift store find) has phenomenal audio quality. Even just taking the output from its headphone jack (since it has no line-level output jacks), this is the best-sounding ceramic cartridge turntable I've heard so far, and it rivals many low-end magnetic cartridge turntables. I demonstrate it with two cuts from a Readers' Digest 6 LP box set.
