Get True 5.1 Surround Sound On Your Mac With Your 5.1 Computer Speakers
In this video, I show you guys how you can hook up your analog 5.1 surround sound speakers to your Mac to get real Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. You need a 5.1 digital to analog decoder (around -) and a toslink cable with mini toslink on one end. And of course you also need some analog surround sound speakers. If you don't know what analog means, pretty much it is a non-digital signal and if you have "computer speakers" then there is a high chance that they are analog. You can tell if they are analog speakers if they have 3.5mm ends on their cables. So if you follow the steps in this video and buy the correct device, you should have true 5.1 surround sound on your Mac. Bear in mind that to take advantage of the surround sound ...
