'High Heel Sneakers' was penned and first released in 1964 by Tommy Tucker. The song became a hit and has since been recorded by hundreds of artists. Here is my uptempo arrangement of the song. This is actually a 'remake' of my earlier version. I kept a few things and added a few others (eg a more developed left hand bass line and rhythm solo choruses). Intro: A walking bass intro. Chorus 1: The melody. Chorus 2: The melody, repeated. Chorus 3: Solo. I'm using the lower manual to add keyboard 'thumps' and two note chords. A long triplet phrase/rhythm phrase before the song goes to the dominant (G chord). The chorus ends with a long 'machine gun' tremolo. Chorus 4: Solo. A one note rhythm chorus. I would call it a triplet rhythm as I'm hitting every third eight note with my right thumb. I'm keeping this pattern/rhythm during the whole chorus. Chorus 5: Solo. The same phrase is repetead three times during this chorus. The chord is a C7+9 (without the root and fifth). At the end of each phrase I do a long downwards palm glissando all the way to the bottom, and add lower manual keyboard thumps. Chorus 6: Solo. The same rhythm as in chorus 4, but this time I'm using keyboard thumps on the upper manual. The triplet rhythm gets a bit more complex in this chorus as I octave every other thump. Chorus 7: Solo.
